AIMEE Desktop Droid field manual

Run the transparent desktop companion, choose an operating mode, and keep normal Windows input available.

Transparent overlay

Desktop Droid renders AIMEE and her world on a per-pixel transparent Windows overlay. Empty pixels remain click-through, so the wallpaper, taskbar, desktop icons, and ordinary applications stay visible and usable.

Use the tray menu to hide the desktop overlay completely. Disabling the website pet is different: AIMEE parks beside the L34D Software label so her menu remains reachable.

Controls and modes

Desktop Pet and Quiet Work modes leave keyboard input alone. Activate Direct Control deliberately before using movement, jump, aim, fire, or weapon-switch controls; Escape returns input to Windows immediately.

Right-click AIMEE to open settings. Scale, opacity, glow, outline, FPS, voice, assistant model roles, and creature limits are stored in the local versioned profile.

Local assistant and permissions

The built-in assistant can use Windows speech and an optional local Ollama model. Destructive tools are unavailable by default. Desktop geometry and local settings remain on the PC and are not uploaded to L34D.

A tester report should include the Desktop Droid version, Windows version, display layout, DPI scale, selected mode, and the exact steps that reproduce the problem. Remove private paths and window titles before posting.
